“The world is yours”: Philipp Plein celebrates his 20th anniversary on the catwalk
On the first day of Milano Moda Uomo, in the magnificent setting of the Galleria degli Arazzi (Gallery of Tapestries) in Palazzo Clerici, Philipp Plein celebrated a milestone, that of his Maison's 20th anniversary, by presenting the new items in the 2019/2020 autumn-winter collection, before an exclusive audience of 260 guests, including the captivating Paris Hilton.
After a performance by the frontman of the Killers, Brandon Flowers, a cast of skinheads followed on along the catwalk, wearing tight suits, high-top sneakers, oversized shiny metal coats, dazzling jewellery and T-shirts with Tony Montana's face on them, the iconic “Scarface” played by Al Pacino.
To close the show, there was a guest appearance by martial arts legend Donnie Yen, accompanied by Philipp Plein himself.
In an elegant, luxurious and energetic context, yet at the same time more intimate and personal, like this of the German designer - Palazzo Clerici was, in fact, one of the prime locations for a Plein show - Ordo took care of all the technologies.
In fact, to light up the rooms, we devised, designed and produced over 40 floor lamps with mini beam shapers, which we renamed “Stilo Focus” for historic dwellings and fashion. To these, we added 60 smart bats and wireless RGB led lights connected to the light mixer.
For the audio system, we designed a wireless system with repeaters in every room, thus overcoming the structural difficulties that made it hard to lay the cables. Furthermore, the thickness of the walls meant that the placement of several repeaters was necessary.
All this preparation was mounted in the space of just one day!
