Feeling different, shining the spotlight on change
This year, Paratissima focuses on diversity. Feeling different is indeed the chosen theme for this 14th edition. The goal is to honour and support differences from one’s self, from others, from pre-established canons, from rules and schemes. Paratissima celebrates evolution and, for the first time in its history, entrusted its visuals to an artist from within the event: the illustrator Roberto Gentili.
After Milan in June and Bologna in February, Turin was the next city to welcome the event. For the first time, during this edition of the Paratissima Art Fair, only select artists exhibited their works: 357 vs. 536 in 2017. While the number of artworks on exhibit was smaller, the fair featured a larger number of curated projects and I.C.S. (Independent Curated Spaces).
The event, which returned to Caserma La Marmora for the occasion, was a great opportunity for all the artists involved to showcase their creativity and put themselves to the test while addressing topics such as change, evolution and diversity.
Ordo participated actively, developing and implementing the electrification of no less than 32.000 sq m for the exhibition area. We focused on highlighting the works of all the photographers, sculptors and painters on exhibit, assembling no less than 600 lamps, in order to illuminate each of the thematic sections of the fair. We were extremely proud to have been selected once again as a partner of the event. However, our greatest satisfaction was the success of our intervention, the key goal of our entire work.
