Terra Madre too, under the banner of energy saving
Food For Change, food to change the world. This was the theme chosen for the twelfth edition of "Terra Madre" at the Salone del Gusto, held from 20 to 24 September in Turin.
Workshops, tastings and meetings, for a total of nine hundred events organized by Slow Food … and more: Terra Madre provided a great opportunity for artisans and producers from every region of Italy to showcase their local products. At Ordo we actively participated in the electrical distribution of all the areas and stands of the fair, as well as installing the lighting systems for the institutional stands dedicated to the regions of Lazio, Puglia and Abruzzo.
Changing the way we live is the leitmotiv of the event that has involved us deeply. We are committed to researching structural solutions and components that allow us to achieve an ambitious goal: to reduce consumption by over 80%. The result exceeded expectations, achieving a 90% reduction in consumption compared to the last edition of the fair we held.
The challenge of energy supply during large-scale demonstrations in the city should not be underestimated. Therefore, to make it possible to feed the outdoor kitchens, we used a generator set for a total of 1,200 amperes.
The importance of power and the guarantee of continuity of energy was essential to supply refrigerated trucks and stands dedicated to street cuisine, organized in outdoor areas that this year had an exceptional setting: Palazzo Reale.
The show dedicated to the general public, including families, could not but foresee important moments in the evening. In this regard, our contribution to ensure visibility and safety was guaranteed with the construction of 15 towers in "American" metal structure: each with a 1.4 ton cement ballast and four 200W LED lights.
The end result was a source of great pride for us, and it is the reason why we invite you to look at some shots taken of the fair:
